Is it bad if i wash my hair with only water, no shampoo or conditioner everyday?

If you don't use a lot of product on your hair and you don't have build up from using a lot of product, then it's okay. But you should use a shampoo to wash your scalp (not hair) when it starts to feel really dirty. It's your scalp that gets dirty and need to be cleaned, not your hair. When you rinse out your scalp, it the shampoo also washes your hair if you have any product on it, but it's not on your hair long enough to dry it out. Shampoo only dries out your hair. If you have time after you wash your scalp with just water, you should put some conditioner on your hair (not scalp) instead of just using water and then rinse it out. You hair will look more moisturized and healthier. Is it bad if i wash my hair with only water, no shampoo or conditioner everyday?
um i would say yes its bad

if you are really against shampoo %26amp; conditioner then at least wash it twice a week

you're going to have dandruff and smelly hair if you dont wash it a least a couple times a weekIs it bad if i wash my hair with only water, no shampoo or conditioner everyday?
I've had friends who tried that, and their hair looked kinda greasy. I don't think it smelled very good either.

I've heard it's good for your hair...i'm skeptical though.
Yeah I think it is. Using shampoo makes your hair more softer and if you don't use it then your hair might look more oily.
Yes, shampoo cleanses any oils or dirt you have in your hair.

Thats kinda gross..
i'd say yes

Who gives shampoo and conditioner to 2 young male teens as a gift for christmas?

at least it wasn't a bar of soap!Who gives shampoo and conditioner to 2 young male teens as a gift for christmas?
parents, grandparents, auntsWho gives shampoo and conditioner to 2 young male teens as a gift for christmas?
It better be some expensive organic, therapeutic hair care. that or your hair really stinks.
sorry but someone cheap,cheap,cheap!
Maybe it was a hint.
It's about the thought that counts. I know it sucks, but at the same time be grateful that you got something rather than nothing.
someone that thinks they should clean up their act?

so much for the thought behind the gift eh?

ppl get all kinds of really weird xmas presents. my mom was going to give a pre-teen boy, a backstreet boys doll for a present. (wtf??)

just be glad it wasn't a doll...or a bra..bro.

least it's usable..u are using it aren't u?????
Grandmas and kooky old aunts.
People who let others buy their gifts for them, someone without much money who wanted to give a 'useful' gift, or someone who just wanted to GIVE *something* and didn't realise their effort would be sneered at because it wasn't some expensive PlayStation costing thousands of dollars.

After all, I'm assuming these guys are old enough to wash their own hair?

Cheers :-)
I would'nt, but maybe some liked this gift for you and gave it to you.
My aunt who owns a beauty shop used to do that to me all the time! But try to squeeze a free haircut out of her and I'd be staring at the business end of a hissy fit! :)
Someone that stopped by a Walgreens on the way over and bought the first cheap thing they saw....
maybe a hair stylist?
for the last 2 years i got axe sets!
Someone who felt an obligation to provide a gift but couldn't afford more.

That old adage, ';Never look a gift horse in the mouth,'; applies.

If you're fortunate enough to be able to give better presents, be happy.
Was it just plain shampoo and conditioner or one of those gift sets? I actually love the little gift sets with bath products or shampoo. If it was just plain shampoo that's kinda different but at least you can use it - better than some tacky statuette from Boy Howdy, isn't it?
parents haha
What is wrong with that? I don't mind ';useful'; gifts, at least they don't have to spend money buying bath stuff for awhile, even though other people think it's tacky. It is the thought that counts.

It is like women receiving lotion, bath soap, and scrubs as a gift.

Can you return (slightly used)shampoo and conditioner?

I bought shampoo and conditioner about 2 or 3 days ago and Ive used them both twice. I am seriously not impressed with them at all. Very disappointed, actually. I was wondering if Target would let me return or exchange them...What do you think? Oh and I paid $25 for them, do you think I should just keep it and go buy the other shampoo and conditioner i was looking at?Can you return (slightly used)shampoo and conditioner?
target lets you return used make up, so i bet they will do the same for shampoo and conditioner. its worth a try! and go to beauty stores and ask for samples of shampoo and conditioner to look for a good one.Can you return (slightly used)shampoo and conditioner?
Of course you should return it! After all, you did pay quite a bit for the both of them and it's not like you used most of it and changed your mind. If for some reason they do not give you a refund (which I doubt), call the 1-800 number on the bottle. The company should refund you what you paid and some even refund you the cost for shipping.
I dont think you can return used shampoo...

call the company and see if they have a guarantee or if they will give you a refund. Target cant do anything to help you.
they definitely wont let u return it if youve used it..not even if youve opened it...so yea just get a new one...oh well, waste of $25..
Yes. Just don't tell them you've used it. Just say you changed your mind and didn't want it anymore.
They probably would. Just tell them you didn't use it.
haha no.

  • I need a shampoo and a conditioner that makes my hair stronger with no breakage.?

my hair keeps on falling out everytime i wash and condition it. i use the burnette for colored treated hair samp. and cond. because i though it would help my color treated hair, but it doesnt my hair is fallling out!

and my hair is short so its very scary.I need a shampoo and a conditioner that makes my hair stronger with no breakage.?
Pantene!I need a shampoo and a conditioner that makes my hair stronger with no breakage.?
if your hair is falling out (more than usual) then you probably need to get a trim or you are stressed. the average woman loses about 100 hairs a day... if you think its more than that then get a trim, or have a nice stress free relaxing day.

the shampoo that i use is hearbal essence long term relationship... it keeps my hiar from breaking and smell great too.

Is there a shampoo/conditioner that makes hair look browner without dying hair...? PLEASE ANSWER?

My hair is a light brown (just a little darker than dirty blonde) and I want it to look browner, like a true brunette color! But my mom won't let me dye my hair so that's not an option. Are there any shampoos or conditioners that make hair look a little darker or more brunette? Like Brilliant Brunette products? Others? PLEASE AND THANK YOUIs there a shampoo/conditioner that makes hair look browner without dying hair...? PLEASE ANSWER?
Have you tried Henna Products? They are nice and help perk up your hair no matter what shape it is in.

Look in the pharmacy section even in Walmart where all the shampoos are and you are sure to find something that you want.

There is also the spray in colors that wash out after 3 or 4 times and they don't hurt the hair at all because they are only temporary colors and highlights.

    Good luck

SalIs there a shampoo/conditioner that makes hair look browner without dying hair...? PLEASE ANSWER?
Brilliant Brunette is good. It won't MAKE your hair darker, but it brings out the dark color in your hair, making it shiny and more defined.

Any recommendations on shampoo/conditioner for dark hair?

I am looking for a product that deposits dark tones on my hair. i dont want to dye it if you know what i mean but just use a shampoo that helps dark hair. has anyone tried any and found them good?

p.s i have reddy tones that i am trying to cover as had highlighted hair that was dyed over.

cheersAny recommendations on shampoo/conditioner for dark hair?
you could try the shampoo and condition called brunnette by john frieda they made my hair a lil darker, but i stopped using it coz i didnt want to be darker but now i want to so thinkin of goin back onto it but its quite expensive.. but hey up 2 uAny recommendations on shampoo/conditioner for dark hair?
There are some wonderful products, however, you may have chemical damage to your hair, and, may need a good salon to help your hair.
Artec is great for that get the dark one that does not have red in it any beauty supply store should have it
i don't think there's such product. the only way is to dye it.
    maybe u could use creamsilk..

My hair is so frizzy during this pregnancy! Can you recommend a good shampoo & conditioner to try?

Can you recommend a good shampoo %26amp; conditioner to try?
Love Garnier Nutrisse sleek and shine. and if you use gel at all try LA Looks sport hold, all work very well to tame frizz. My already naturally curly hair curls up even more in pregnancy and with the heat and humidity this summer i feel your pain. 38 weeks here so not too much longer to go. Good luck!!!!!!My hair is so frizzy during this pregnancy! Can you recommend a good shampoo %26amp; conditioner to try?

Explain what is shampoo, conditioner and shower gel and how they are used and for what?

    shampoo: washing hair

    conditioner: making hair softer

shower gel: liquid soap for washing your body

Also they will all make you smell betterExplain what is shampoo, conditioner and shower gel and how they are used and for what?
shampoo helps clear the dirt of your hair and products.

conditioner helps soften your hair stay shiny and smooth.

shower gel is to clean your body of all dirt.Explain what is shampoo, conditioner and shower gel and how they are used and for what?
okay i think you are from other planet.

just give me a ring and i'll tell you what they are and how they used for.
have you never had a shower?
Shampoo is used for washing hair. Its detergent based. Conditioner is applied to strengthen the hair from problems like split-ends, dryness etc.

Shower gel is moisturiser based liquid soap. Doesnt dry your skin like soap.
shampoo is a soap used for your hair wash ,conditioner is for your hair well being and shower gel is a soap for your body in the shower
These are mostly marketing jings or slangs developed to gain consumer and consumption depth.Touchwood.

Well, hair is 'dead' protien. It cannot assimulate anything , except partially in it's roots.

So you shampoo or apply showergel..in both case you condition the appearance and flow of your hair.

Many shampoos and such , weaken the roots. Oops! I spilled out. Make your roots strong.Have I answered? Thank god ,I did my job as a mktg guy.
Where did you live so far??? Africa?? Oh my god...

Shampoo is for those things that grow on your head...hair

Conditioner is to make the hair nice or to repair it.

Shower gel...it's used to clean your body skin..it's much better then soap.

Now, print this and go to the bathroom
    Shampoo- cleanses your hair.

Conditioner- softens and untangles your hair.

Shower gel- cleanses your body. It usually works best when lathered with a loofah.
shampoo= cleansing the hair and scalp

conditioner=adds vitally, softness to the hair and detangles

    shower gel= cleanses the body
ok... hm... I hope you are joking....

shampoo - Any of various liquid or cream preparations of soap or detergent used to wash the hair and scalp

conditioner - One that conditions, especially an additive or application that improves the quality or usability of a substance: a hair conditioner. apply it for several minutes after shampooing your hair and then rinse the hair with running water

shower gel -shampoo for body lol
shampoo we use it for wash our hair to make it clean and the conditioner for the dry hair to make it wet coz some pepoel have a dry hair and that may cause hair falling and shower jel is good for the pepoel who go out alot so dust and wind dont make there hair look bad . i hope you found your answer thank you .

    Hi,

I would say, go to Sallys.. they have lots of Salon quality ones, plus they have a conditioner that is in a Tub, I cant think of the name but its for damaged hair and its only like 4 bucks.. it works great!!

    HTH
    Try the following:

Biolage Hydrating Shampoo and Hydrating Balm

Alterna Hemp Seed Hydrating Shampoo %26amp; Conditioner (Shampoo is in green bottle with long neck. Conditioner is green, round, up-side-down bottle)...this stuff is great!

Rusk Coral Therapy S%26amp;C (shampoo is in orange bottle conditioner is in a coral color bottle)

All these are great product...I use them the most! Also use a leave-in conditioner like Big Sexy's Healthy Sexy Hair SoyTri-Wheat Leave in Conditioner...mmm, good stuff!!
I love mane and tail...the conditioner really moistens your hair and leaves it looking healthier!!!
    Aveda Brilliant Shampoo

Aveda Brilliant Shampoo is a daily deep cleansing shampoo that moisturizes, too. Takes away product build-up and debris鈥攏ot everything else. Makes comb-through simple. Helps soothe your scalp with certified organic calendula, camellia and aloe. Promotes shiny, healthy, clean hair.Excellent for textured or chemically-treated hair.

Aveda Brilliant Conditioner quenches your hair's thirst and sets tangles free, even in the most textured hair. Plant emollients restore hair so it looks smooth and shiny. Excellent detangler makes hair feel soft and silky. Hydrates, conditions and detangles.
Redken Clear Moisture would be good for you, you might have to get it from a hairdresser but its good stuff.
personally I like Pantene shampoo and i end with Dove mask conditioner ...
    Aussie Moist shampoo and conditioners
Well, of all those mentioned, the best one is definetely pantene.
biolage conditioning shampoo and conditioning balm
Ojon is the best hair line out there. I have used the products for 3 months and my hair is growing so much faster and healthier.

The products I use are the Ultra Hydrating Shampoo and Conditioner for regular washings and the Restorative Hair Treatment for deep conditioning.

These products, especially the Restorative Hair Treatment contain Ojon oil which instantly hydrates and improves the condition of damaged, color-treated or processed hair without weighing it down. Fortifying, rebuilding and nourishing, it leaves hair extraordinarily shiny, silky and manageable.

Even better news, you can get samples of these products from Sephora for free so you can try it out. You will be so impressed with the feel and shine of your hair.

    Good luck
    john frieda products!
In my opinion the best shampoo and conditioner for damaged and dry hair would be Infusium 42.
Fructis in the green bottle helps that stuff well. I use to have damaged hair and that fixed it up in 2 days.
I use Arbonne's Tea Tree Oil Shampoo and it works amazing for my dry scalp! Check it out at www.kimrichard.myarbonne.com
One of the best products out there for dry/damaged hair is the little conditioner that comes with hair color: these are available now to buy without having to get the entire hair color kit! try clairol natural instincts.

Also, try Terax Crema Conditioner (italian company).

Terax has an amazing line of products and they are incredibly gentle if you have sensitive skin. I have only been able to find the products online in the states.

    good luck.
I think Pantene is best too.....but U should also use natural products ...like oil it regularly...massage it so it will make it healthy from roots !

    Take care.
dove...the first answerer said ';head over heels'; hehe but i think she meant ';head and shoulders';!!!. but really dove is amazing, and it smells delicious!
Paul Mitchell works great but its a bit expensive. Your best bet is to get regular hair cuts and stay away from blow dryers , curling irons and strengtheners
i know you've tried panteen, but panteen pro-v ice shine is so much better! it's what i use and i'll swear by it!

Which is the best Shampoo and Conditioner?

So I'm wondering out of these shampoo's and conditioners which set do you think is the best to use. I only want you to pick out of this list, cuz i want to know which one I should use for my hair. Just to let you know I have pretty healty hair, thats not dyed, and kinda wavy. I do straighten about everyother day. Okay here the choices

    1. Herbel Essences

    2. Garnier Fructus

    3. Sunsilk

    4. Ausie

    5. Pantene

ThanksWhich is the best Shampoo and Conditioner?
Probably Ausie. Pantene is nice to use every now and then, but I heard from someone who was in beauty school that it contains some of the same chemicals as embalming fluid.Which is the best Shampoo and Conditioner?
It's hard to say what will be best for your hair. You would have to try them to find out which one works the best for YOUR curly hair. For example, my sister and I have the same hair type and texture, but we use totally different products.
Of these, I would say this order...for ,my hair, anyway!

    Pantene

    Garnier

    Sunsilk

    Aussie

Never, ever Herbal E. TOO much fumes means dried out hair so fast!
Well you want the one with the least ammonium sodium laurate. The ingrediants are listed on the back. This will give you dry hair and reulting in split ends.Listed in order of content%.If you have healthy hair.
I use Herbel Essences shampoo and conditioner. I found it works best with my hair which is naturally curly. It does not leave it feeling ';weighed'; down which I have found others do. Hope this helps.
    herbal essences

i would say that because i use it and it works wonderful
I heard years ago Aussie used to be professional...don't really know what happened. Pantene has a chemical in it that is a lot like parafin-coats your hair BUT doesn't allow your natural oils to penetrate so eventually it dries it out. Sunsilk has a drying agent in it. Garnier Fructis is a nightmare for me. My clients come in-I was their hair and instantly I can tell if they've been using it. Before conditioning, their hair feels like straw. Herbel Essences is made by Clairol which isn't horribly bad. The main thing to remember when buying ';supermarket'; shampoos is who the shampoo is made by. You don't want to buy anything that is made by proctor and gamble, bic, gillette etc. because they make many household products and they tend to use alot of the same lathering ingredients that are used in our laundry detergeants and dishwashing soap. Hope this helps. Hope I didn't confuse you.

Sorry...I have very fine naturally straight hair but I can't get it very straight without blow drying it and using a flat iron....couldn't imagine if i had to deal with wavy hair. Why not using a flat iron its very quick.

Just throw in some protecting agent, some mousse...blow dry it then use the straightener. Your hair will stay straight all day long and look fabulous. And if you have a problem with frizz try a smoothing shampoo.

I don't think you'll get it straight without doing something else to it other then serums...those tend to help with the styling process but not just by them selves..

Has anyone tried using Pantene's hydrating curls shampoo/conditioner/Styling Milk and what were the results?

I am a brunette with shoulder length wavy hair.Has anyone tried using Pantene's hydrating curls shampoo/conditioner/Styling Milk and what were the results?

Does dandruff shampoo + conditioner really work? if so, head and shoulders or selsun blue?

I used to use that but after a while it stopped working. Selsun blue is very good for that soothing menthol feeling and is better than Head and Shoulders.

If you have really bad dandruff and want to stop it cold, use T-Gel and/or Nizoral. Both of those products have literally cured me of serious dandruff.Does dandruff shampoo + conditioner really work? if so, head and shoulders or selsun blue?

No...The only ways you can straighten your hair is blow dryer, chemicals, and the flat Iron. Straightening shampoo's are a complete scam.
There isn't one that I've ever found that did anything. Try either using a flatiron or blow drying your hair.

Shampoo and conditioner, brands without silicon?

I've heard from many beauticians and hairdressers that the silicon used in supermarket brands is actually bad for hair as it coats your hair and slowly builds up over time and doesnt allow any colour to penetrate so it cant reach the hair shaft.

So which brands of hair products use natural ingredients, or use a good quality silicon?Shampoo and conditioner, brands without silicon?
I don't believe silicone or any ingredients that isn't natural can be good for your hair over time. I found a product line after 42 years of crummy hair and trying all of the drugstore brands cheap and expensive, this line is fantastic and all natural and repairs chemically treated, dry, damaged, frizzy hair. HerStyler hair care products are composed of plants-protein and olive oil and give you absolutely amazing healthy hair that you will notice after the first use. They are economical because you only need a tiny amount. Read more at https:www.infashionsense.com - i hope this is helpful!Shampoo and conditioner, brands without silicon?
Lies. Sort of There's only a handful of ingredients that actually do things for hair, it's just the quantity and chemistry of the ingredients in the products that change. Any silicone ingredients in any shampoo/conditioner will coat the hair, it's what it's supposed to do-seals moisture in and helps humidity out. Most hairdressers aren't cosmetic chemists and they are told what to say about products that they sell (they want to sell their products, not drugstore ones!). There are good drugstore products and bad ones, and the same goes for salon brands. Any shampoo and conditioner that uses a lot of silicone can and probably will build up over time, but it's easily removed by using a different shampoo once in a while. And if someone is worried that they're hair has buildup on it before they get it colored they can always bring it up before the service is done but the color should penetrate through the hair shaft. People get their hair colored when they have hair spray and god knows what else on their hair and they're fine! So anyway, use what products you like and be wary of what you're told, you'd be surprised at how many misguided people are out there lol. If in doubt, do some research on the internet about ingredients and whatnot. Hope I helped!

Is There A Shampoo Or Conditioner For Men That Dyes Ur Hair Black?

not a shampoo, but Revlon makes a temporary hair color ';Fancifull Temporary Colour Rinse'; that you comb into wet hair. Washes out with shampoo, but be careful of light hair. It may stain and take a few good shampoos to wash out.Is There A Shampoo Or Conditioner For Men That Dyes Ur Hair Black?
Why don't you just go buy a dye?

Whats a good shampoo and conditioner to use on pretipped human hair extensions? Also can you backcomb them?

You always want to use a sulfate free shampoo on human hair extentions. I like Pureology or Enjoy product lines. L'anza just came out with a new product called Healing Moisture Tamanu Cream Shampoo and Kukui Nut Conditioner. It's sulfate free and works great on my extensions. Then I always use CHI Silk Infusion as a leave in.

I can't comment on how you will be able to style your hair for the best longevity as I don't know the quality of the hair you've purchased. I always tell people who want to wear hair extensions that it's best to invest in top quality hair because it works easily and you can wear it for up to a year. If your hair is not the best quality.....it may have mis-matched cuticle or be over processed Asian hair........you will be more limited as to the styling and it will tangle horribly. It you don't have too many problems with tangles......then tease it till it stands up! :o)

Shampoo and conditioner for short highlighted hair?

i have short highlighted hair that is rather thick, what is the best shampoo and conditioner to use? some of my friends have recomended TRESemm茅, is that a good one to use? or any other sugestions?Shampoo and conditioner for short highlighted hair?
i,ve been using dove and i really recommend itShampoo and conditioner for short highlighted hair?
Try Pantene for blonde hair - it is really good, especially for thick hair.
you need to have a stylist analyze your hair type. Oily,Dry, Thick Course Thin , ect... There are different types of products for different types of hair. Your stylist should be able to help you on finding the right one for your hair type. It is also recommended that you change different products every 2-3 months. One product might have someting in it that another don't that your hair needs to be healthy. GOOD LUCK!!!
For thick hair use Pantene Pro-V (I use the ';Smooth and Sleek'; product from their range), it works really well and is professional so it won't affect your highlights.

Try combining Pantene conditioner with Head %26amp; Shoulders shampoo - it's what I do and the results are brill!
Im not too keen on tresemme, the best shampoo ive ever used is Pantene, you can get one for every type of hair, the conditioner is great too.
horse tail shampoo works best- you may not even need a conditioner with this shampoo.
I like Pantene, Tresemme, Dove, or Biolage. They all work great for me a would recommend any of them. Get one for color treated hair, Good Luck, but my favorite is biolage but kinda expensive about $15 for shampoo and conditioner each
yeah dats a good one but you need 2 buy the special type- u no, you can get repair and protect ect ect, you need 2 get colour stay

If I use different brands of shampoo and conditioner will it ruin my hair?

Entire world is attentive towards herbal hair care products.

Throw all your these synthetic and toxic chemical based hair care products and shampoos in the garbage box and try herbal products for your hair care. These products have no side effects,

India is the biggest producer of herbal products. Shikakai shampoo and shikakai powder is the best herbal hair acre product I know.

I can send you its samples free of cost by courier if you want.If I use different brands of shampoo and conditioner will it ruin my hair?
Nice to know that still people take note of good advices. Report Abuse
If I use different brands of shampoo and conditioner will it ruin my hair?
no. But if they are two different fruity smells you will smell like a fruitcake :)
    no
    nope
    no
i don't think that using different brands of shampoo and conditioners will ruin your hair, it will maybe a little variation in chemical components but will perform the same task none the less.

In fact i find from personal experience that if i use one brand for too long my hair tends to lose some of it's shine and varbance so i often change my hair products and i have extremely healthy hair.
I vary mine all the time, different shampoos, different conditioners. Seems to me that my hair reacts better when I keep changing around. Almost like the hair needs the different chemicals, vitamins, etc. and no one single shampoo and conditioner has them. Anyhow, it won't ruin your hair. Might make it better.
Did you know that if you use the same shampoo for let's say-a year- it can cause build up in your hair? so yes i would switch brands at least every 4 months

Aveda Black Malva or Aveda Clove shampoo and conditioner?

    I have brown hair.

Would Aveda Black Malva or Aveda Clove shampoo and conditioner be better for me?

I want my hair to be as dark as possible.

Right now I use Aveda Shampure shampoo and conditioner.

P.s. Also, explain why.Aveda Black Malva or Aveda Clove shampoo and conditioner?
Aveda Clove and Black Malva shampoos are color depositing shampoos. Clove would enhance brown tones, Black Malva would deposit cool black tones. Both work very well.Aveda Black Malva or Aveda Clove shampoo and conditioner?
shampoo and conditioner is not going to get your hair darker because it is made for that one color and that isn't your color of your hair so all your are doing is dring your hair out i would just dye it. that way you get your dark hair and the color you want and then use the shampoo and conditioner that you have but only if you dye it that color

  • Which Shampoo/Conditioner is good for me?

I have normal asian hair. But it's pretty dull and and it gets frizzy. I really want my hair to have shine, silky smooth softness, and be straight. So Whats a good hair product? (I've tried head and shoulders, pantene, and garnier and they all don't work for me)Which Shampoo/Conditioner is good for me?
try a good quality salon shampoo and conditioner like ';redken - all soft';. its great for controlling frizz and gives you tons of shine. its a little expensive but really worth it.Which Shampoo/Conditioner is good for me?
All Soft by Redken, it's sold in salons.
tresemme smooth and silky conditioner. works like a charm.

Is herbal essences shampoo & conditioner good for my hair?

i have dark brown hair that goes to my shoulders and its thick and wavy/straight. it gets frizzy though when i'm in the hot air or humid. also how can you make your hair grow longer overnight? or what can i put on my hair or do to it that make it grow fasterIs herbal essences shampoo %26amp; conditioner good for my hair?
Herbal essences works for me. They have all kinds from no frizz, to helping your hair straighter.

Braiding your hair overnight helps control the breakage, and makes it healthier. Also, you can take vitamins for your hair, like vitamin E or B.

You can deep condition it once a week, and try to cut back on all the processing like straightening or hairdrying. Is herbal essences shampoo %26amp; conditioner good for my hair?
Soaps and shampoos are basically olaic acid which is a base substance, or a hydroxide which will degrease the hair. All the fancy lables are sales promotions to make you think you are getting a super cleanser. The fact is, the soap strips and cleans the hair. Too much and the hair dries and gets brittle. The frizz is caused because in humid air the hair shaft which is flexible responds to the water and curles in various ways.A higher protein diet or knox geletin may add more protein to your system and hair is basically a protein same as finger nails. But there is no magic substance to make it grow faster. It is like the products to cure baldness. If you believe that, I have a bridge I'd like to sell you.
One of my best friends has that same exact hair pretty much! She uses Herbal Essences. I also use Herbal Essences. I'd give it a B grade. It's not fantastic or does wonders, but it smells nice, cleans your hair, and has a variety of products. Also there's not many people allergic to it. To make your hair grow faster, give your scalp massage when you're in the shower because it stimulates hair growth. Hope I helped! :)
I've never heard of putting anything on your hair to make it longer overnight. That's actually a pretty retarded thought, sorry.

You can cut it during different times of the year to make it grow faster, though.

Whats the best shampoo, conditioner, or any other product for...?

    fine hair?

i have naturally straight fine hair,

and i use head %26amp; shoulders shampoo.

    but with the humidity

by the end of the day it looks greasy.

what drugstore products can help??Whats the best shampoo, conditioner, or any other product for...?
try using baby shampoo like johnson and johnson. try fructis conditioner.Whats the best shampoo, conditioner, or any other product for...?
I personally like Herbal Essences and Pantene. I heard Redken works well, too. If it looks greasy, just take a shower. Maybe its because you exercise a lot or your body is currently producing a lot of oils. Also, this is a home remedy for oily hair, temporary, this is only if you are in a rush, can't take a shower, and don't want your hair looking greasy. Put a bit of baby powder in your hair like where the roots are and rub it in.

What is the best kind (or brand) of shampoo and conditioner for normal, burnette, straight, long hair?

I have the same kind of hair that you do. A lot of my family does hair for a living and they all suggest Matrix, Sleek Look. I absolutely love it. It's the best brand I have ever tried.

Not all shampoos and conditioners are the same. I just had this discussion with my sister's cosmetology teacher. What is the best kind (or brand) of shampoo and conditioner for normal, burnette, straight, long hair?
Any bargain brand will contain all of the same main ingredients as the most expensive stuff on the market. You can literally pick your shampoo at random. What is the best kind (or brand) of shampoo and conditioner for normal, burnette, straight, long hair?
Check Paula Begoun's book ';Don't Go Shopping For Hair care Products Without Me.'; She reviews every single hair care product. You will be surprised at what you find. For instance, some of the really expensive salon brands are even worse for your hair than Suave.
    look on the bottles
I use Pantene Pro-V on my hair it does wonders and it is easier to brush through after you are done washing your hair.
Pantene is great if you don't have big bucks to spend on salon products. I dunno if it helps with the Pro-V like they say it does, but it keeps my hair shiny, and soft.
I have the same kind of hair and I have used Pantene Pro V. It is okay. I also have used Thermasilk which is okay too. I want to try the new Garnier Fructisse Long and Strong formula. I like Garnier anyway and this new one sounds great.
the best that I have found is John Frieda for brunette hair. I also use a good clarifying shampoo once a week to remove any build up.
I used to use Redken All Soft when I had straight hair. (Weird thing, now my hair is curly...naturally...not sure what made it change.)

But when my hair was mostly straight, the All Soft was great for getting out tangles. My hair felt healthier in general. If your hair is very thin (mine's thick) you might find that it weights your hair down a bit.

Yeah, searching the grocery store aisles is good as well. Or maybe ask your hair stylist what he/she recommends for your type of hair.
Pantine PRO-v (spelling?)!!!! the best shampoo for all types of hair !!!!
The kind you can find in the in the shampoo and conditioner isle at you local discount store, also see personal care.
the new shampoo for brunette with conditioner, John Frieda Brilliant Brunette. they have for every kind and shade. trust me it is AMAZING

I have naturally curly hair, is there a shampoo and conditioner that is found in stores that is good?

My hair is very long and also color treated. The salon products I buy are rather expensive, (nickel and diming me to death)and I really should be saving that money for more constructive things, lol. Any help would be appreciated. tyI have naturally curly hair, is there a shampoo and conditioner that is found in stores that is good?
Are you Black , White or Bi-racial? 'Cause I don't know if the products that I suggest will work for you. Anyway, try Soft %26amp; Beautiful Botanicals. I'm black but I don't have very coarse hair and I've just gone from chemical relaxing back to a natural style, I love this stuff. I use the shampoo, conditioner, moisturizer and the oil sheen (occasionally). The prices are good. The shampoo and conditioner comes in 6oz tubes (which doesn't sound like alot but it is) that cost $2.99 each. The moisturizer (which is non-greasy) is also 6oz and that costs $3.69. You might not want the sheen (depending on your hair type it might be too greasy), but that also comes in a 6oz can that costs $2.79. Everything for under $20 so no more ';nickel and diming you to death';. LOL! They have other products as well, so visit their website at www.proline-intl.com I hope this was helpful.I have naturally curly hair, is there a shampoo and conditioner that is found in stores that is good?
try pantene pro v perfect for me but find ur type of hair written on the bottle
you probably never had a stylist show you and teach you how to use the products. this irritates me to no end. how do they (stylists) expect you to love your hair?

make sure it is totally wet before applying shampoo. small amount in palm of hand and rub hands together; dab on midshaft of hair then scalp and massage the scalp - do not rub hair together. finger comb thru and rinse.

towel dry. very important. if your hair is wet then where does the conditioner go? on top of the water because oil and water don't mix. apply conditioner same way as shampoo - do not rub hair together (causes split ends and frizz), finger comb and rinse with cool water.

when towel drying make sure not to rub your hair - dab it well and squeeze it and wring it.

try using products for ethnic hair if it is frizzy. you might have high protein hair that needs moisture.
Pantene Pro-v is the best my mom and sista both have curly and color-treated hair and it works so well

  • Hair Help! What shampoo/conditioner should I use?

I have highlighted my hair twice, and sometimes it gets frizzy and dry, and the other times it gets oily! I don't know which shampoo to buy, oily hair shampoo or dry hair shampoo? My hair isn't damaged, but it can get kind of dry and limp. I would like volume in my hair and lots of moisture! What shampoo/conditioner should I use?Hair Help! What shampoo/conditioner should I use?
use loreal vive pro. it's pretty good :) i think you just need to get in the habit of washing your hair daily though if your hair gets oily a lot. if not try hydralicious from herbal essences, thats good too! (and cheaper!)Hair Help! What shampoo/conditioner should I use?
    Hi,

I also have highlighted hair. The advice my hairdresser gave me was to use shampoo and conditioner that is designed specifically for dyed hair. Tigi 'Fashionista' is really good. Leave in conditioners are good too. You should also wash your hair at least twice each time, the first time you wash it you only get rid of the product, the second time actually cleans your hair.

I know this wasn't part of your question, but if you straighten your hair, try not to do so everyday, and use heat protection spray when doing so (and also before blowdrying). Believe me, it makes a big difference.

If you're looking for a longer-term solution, dying your hair brown would make it look more naturally glossy and healthy.
I would recommend the John Frieda Collection shampoo and conditioner. If you are specifically looking for a nice lift without any frizz, then i would get the luxurious volume set (shampoo and conditioner). This will resolve all your hair problems noticeably within one day of use and give you great volume. And if you would like to eliminate the frizz, then i would purchase the frizz-ease straight fixation creme that you can add on to your hair directly after getting out of the shower, and it will work like a charm. You can purchase these products at any hair care stores, salons, and mass-retailers.

By 2 days your hair will look mousturized, styled, and healthy, and the best part is that all john frieda products are safe for color-treated hair. Enjoy!
i have the exact same situation.

soo my sister recommended herbal essences ';body envy'; shampoo and conditioner and it's amazeing and cheap! i love it! and as a plus it smells realyyy good:)
Herbal Essences all the way. Get the kind for colored hair.

Just call the hotel and speak with housekeeping. They are pretty terrific about sharing their sources of products and linens etc...

I can't find the online web source that offered hotel items... from shampoo to linens, towel, robes, irons, mattresses but it had everything down to food. Many hotels have a list of the products and prices. I'll be searching.

If you don't wash it every day it builds natural oils. Also massaging your scalp helps stimulate circulation and promotes natural oils as well.
