What kind of hair shampoo and conditioner should i use???

i have black African-american hair and it got damaged to where i could hardly put it in a ponytail. i do not have that nasty bushy-nappy hair because my grandma was indian so it is not like that. Now i can put it in a ponytail but not like the way it used to be. I want to use a good shampoo and conditioner that would help repair my hair and make it grow nice and healthy to the way it used to be. Someone please help me!!!???!!!PLEASE.What kind of hair shampoo and conditioner should i use???
The first step is to truly identify the type of hair you have, and sometimes you have hair that fits into more than one identified hair type - so you have to read up on the classifications and determine which combination applies to you.

For example if you have coarse hair that is also oily, then you need a regimen that addresses both. If you have dry hair that's fine and frizzy, those are 3 things to take into consideration.

It sounds to me as though the damage is probably the biggest culprit in your problems, and like any bodily trauma it takes time, patience, and tender loving care for your hair to recover.

Step 1 is education, step 2 is purchasing and using products - and sticking faithfully to a regimen you tailor for your needs. Step 3 is the hard part, staying patient and not letting it frustrate you or make you feel badly about yourself at all! We all have hair woes.

There's a really succinct guide/list of shampoos and treatments (generic, not brand-specific) that you should use for each hair type. You can read the list and ID which types are like yours. From that you can learn some nutrients and ingredients that should be in the recipe of whatever shampoos and products you end up using.

My hair is very fine and prone to breakage. It's also monstrously curly. So it can be a nightmare too. You're not alone in your struggle - let's arm ourselves with the facts and face the battle! :) Good luck.

my hair got really bad and I used sauve humectant shampoo and conditioner. It worked pretty well. I've heard good things about the pert brand too

This would be a more pricey option but you could go to a salon and ask what they would reccomend. If you ask they may even give you a demo right there in the salon!
biolage is one of the best you can use,,,dont use any other cheap crap like frutice or suave etc etc. the cheap stuff leave a wax buildup in you hair that can actually damage it. if you use the more expensive stuff that you buy in a salon, you hair will get better after a few uses
wht haf u bn doin to make it not lyk it used to b..

usin a hairdryer or straightener? if so

for a start u shuld start usin thermal protection sprays
