Depends on your hair texture, style, what you are trying to achieve, etc. If you color your hair or have a perm, you need a moisturising shampoo and deep conditioner. If you have what is called virgin hair, meaning no chemicals on it, a different shampoo would be needed. If your hair is fine and fly away, a volumizing shampoo would work best. i own the vanilla silk and its amazing it really protects your hair from splitting and breaking .. and my hair feels so silky and healthy .. another thing is if you look at all the names a lot of the products used in the shampoo and conditioner is natural like tea .. and olive oil .. etc.. all is used for home remedies, etc ..

I like using Aussie, because it gives my flat hair volume the next few hours and the next day. but then again, it all depends on your hair type.
