It isn't bad. Use whatever works for your hair. Companies simply try to market their products to make you think that you have to buy both the shampoo and conditioner, or their entire skincare line, or only their cosmetic products, etc...Why is it bad to use one Brand of Shampoo and a different on conditioner?
most companies make their products to work together to get the full advantage. I own my own spa business and my products are made to work together to active certain ingredients and i know that there are a lot of companies out there that do the same thing...

it depends what works for your hair
on my hair i use a curly hair shampoo but the conditioner was a little to heavy and greasy so i use a light detangling one instead
i didnt know, but maybe b/c the ingredients are made to use with eachother i suppose=)
i still use different ones, preferably 2 in1
